For more than 30 years, Chef Dwayne Johnson has been cooking up delicious and creative meals. Chef Johnson discovered his passion for food at an early age in his hometown of Chicago. His family’s frequent travels cultivated this love of food through the inspiration of different cultures and flavors. After moving to Lexington, Kentucky, Johnson honed his passion for the craft by preparing family meals while his parents were at work.
Inspired by his love for homemade Italian pasta, Chef Johnson’s signature dish is his Cajun Seafood pasta- a dish bursting with flavor, made special by noodles made fresh in the kitchen. Since his introduction to the culinary world, Chef Johnson spent five years as the kitchen manager inside Lexington’s civic center at Yesterday’s. Since then, Chef Johnson has specialized as Omelet Chef at the Hyatt and served as night chef at the Raddison Hotel. For eight years, Chef Johnson was Sous Chef for Spindle Top Hall, UK’s private membership club. Now, Chef Johnson joins us as executive chef at Wilshire’s in Georgetown, Kentucky.
